20-23 Weeks!

Ah crap.  I promise I'll get better at this.  I think it depresses me, since I can't find my camera.  Last time I saw my camera was at the Snyder reunion, and then we took Andy's mom's van home, then the van broke down and I have a bad feeling the camera got stolen while it was at the mechanics. :(   I'm super depressed about it, it was a really nice camera.  :( :(  Oh well.. maybe if I work a little overtime I can save up for a new one for Christmas.  We'll see...

I've been busy lately, doing the whole nesting thing.   I even started cleaning out our storage room, which is a feat I didn't think I would undertake, but yet, here I am labeling things downstairs and getting rid of practically 80% of it all.

I tore a muscle in my abs the other day, that wasn't fun.  I got out of bed and kinda forgot about my baby bump. Ooops.   The baby is fine, it just hurts to bend over, and when I sit down it takes me a little bit to jump back up.  I just need to be careful these next few days, especially with my history of pre-term contractions.  With Braedan I had a "irritable uterus".  Whatever that means.

Speaking of Braedan, he's starting to talk!!  I'm so excited!!  He says "Daddy" (referring to Andy, he doesn't call me daddy), "Up", and "More".   He's so much fun.  I love these toddler years.  Ugh, I love baby years too.. Being a mom is just awesome fun.

He did manage to get into a bowl of beets the other day, he had it all over himself and my tan couch.  I call it the parent's curse (I did something similar when I was little).   Andy got it all up though, and I manage to salvage his white onesie that I thought for sure would be ruined!   I just presoaked it, and ran it in the laundry by itself, and it came out perfect!

I'm considering making some burp cloths for Tinkerbell.  I found a really easy tutorial online, using flannel and cloth diapers.   Andy wants to make cloth diapers now.. I'm a little unsure.   I think it'll be great, but I think we need to be much more structured and organized before we bring on cloth diapers... it can get messy if you don't keep up! :)

letter to baby #2

Last night I found out I am having a daughter.  I have to tell you little one, I could barely sleep all night in excitement of you..  when I dreamed, I dreamed of you!  It's amazing and such a blessing from God that you will be here soon in 20 more weeks, my sweet little daughter.  I'm so excited for you, to dress you up, to teach you everything there is about being a girl.. from tutus to climbing trees.. and boys and putting on make-up, to become a young woman yourself someday.  You are beautiful, I know this already, I'm so grateful that God has given us you for our little daughter.

15-19 Weeks!

So much to say.  First of all, I apologize again for not updating this weekly, it’s been very busy around these parts.   I’m enjoying soft little kicks now, this baby is super active.   I really started to feel the kicks (not just those light flutters!) during our annual trip to moon lake for the Snyder Reunion.  Speaking of the reunion, I’ll to upload pictures as soon as I locate my camera.  Needless to say, I’m still unpacking from all of our trips this past summer.

I’m still having cravings, which is driving Andy crazy.  It’s tough, when I get an idea of what to eat in my head, nothing else sounds good.   Right now, it’s a lot of bad stuff too, like chocolate, candy, and those little pizza rolls things.   Mmmm.   I’ll have to be careful though.  I remember I was almost diagnosed with gestational diabetes with Braedan (had to do the complicated glucose test with multiple blood draws.. not fun).

At least the nausea is over with, mostly.   Every once in a while there is a flare up.  Right now it’s the migraines.  I had one over labor day weekend that lasted three days straight.   Tylenol helped a little bit, not much.   I’m really careful about medications, I want this pregnancy (and birth) to be as drug free as possible.

Well I’m happy to announce we had our big ultrasound yesterday!  It was funny, they wanted me to drink 44 ounces of something before I come in, and they said no tea, no milk, no coffee, and no energy drinks.   So it’s juice or water, and I thought juice would be easier to get down.. oh no.   I made some grape juice, and within 15-20 minutes got it all down.  Let me just say I really don’t recommend this to preggo ladies.  Ugh.. I can’t stand grape juice now.  My husband was taking all the back roads in Provo to get to the ultrasound place, and every time he stopped at a stop sign, I felt it come up.  It was awful!!  Then at the ultrasound place, there was kind of a wait.   I was in a room with two other moms who were doing the same exact thing.  We were hopping around, crossing our legs, trying to look like we had everything in control.   Then all three of us decided we couldn’t wait any longer and made a mad dash to the bathroom, it was quite funny.

My baby is beautiful! It was so exciting to finally see this little one that has been growing inside me.   Everything looked perfect, the heart, the brain, the kidneys, the little spine.. beautiful!   I’m so excited to meet this little baby in a few more months!   We got some good footage, we even got the cutest little foot shot.

The ultrasound appointment went too fast, I could spend an hour in there!  Maybe I could convince my husband to get 3d photography when I’m around 35 weeks.. haha.. we’ll see.    I still need to hire a doula (I found a group that I really want to use, primarily since one of the gals was my hypnobirthing teacher for Braedan).

I’m very much looking forward to the holidays, Halloween, thanksgiving, Christmas, and new years.  If I keep distracted with those, time will just fly! J  I’m halfway there.. it’s awesome! J

14 Weeks!

Oh second trimester, how I love thee!!  Yep, finally here in the second tri, by week 28 I'll be in the homestretch third tri.   Symptoms?  Not so much nausea these days, but there are still bouts every now and again.  And the fatigue hasn't really let up yet.  I sleep most days, I'm like a sloth mom.   I'm starting to get horrible migraines.  I had one last week that lasted two days in a row that kept me from working.

We had another appointment with the midwives.  We got to hear the heartbeat again!  So exciting!! It was around 160 bpm I believe.  Well.. about the heartbeat.. the nurse thought she heard... TWO!  It might have just been an echo though, we aren't sure.  It wasn't my heart beat, because my heartrate doesn't beat that fast (unless I'm on a stairmaster chugging a red bull on energy pills).   So... we'll have to see!  I have my ultrasound scheduled on September 6th, and then hopefully that Saturday following we'll have our gender party, where we will find out what we are having.  I'm still thinking pink, but honestly, ok with just a healthy baby, and boys are just so much fun!

Speaking of boys.. my son is WALKING!  He just started last week, just out of the blue.  Here's a video:

Here's a video on the development of our next little one (ones!):

Fourth of July Photos

Here's some fun pictures from our fourth of July from the beginning of this month.  The family came over, and we had a BBQ in the backyard, and Kya & Braedan had a blast with the fireworks, sparklers, and glowsticks!

11-13 Weeks!!

Been very sick lately, and crazy busy as we *might* be moving soon.   Still nauseous, although I believe I'm on the brink of the blessed Second Trimester.   I believe with Braedan the morning sickness stopped around 14-15 weeks, so we'll see.

Well, I'm starting to show, I'm officially in maternity clothes, and I got some really cute maternity clothes so I don't mind so much wearing them.  It's funny, my co-workers don't know I'm pregnant yet, but I think they suspect.  Only my boss knows right now.

Something exciting.. I'm feeling my baby kick!  I thought I was weird when I first started to feel Tinkerbell at 11 weeks, but my mom says you feel it earlier with your second pregnancy.  Now at 13 weeks, I REALLY feel my baby move!  Last week Braedan slept with me because he was being a pill and couldn't go to sleep, and he rested his feet on my upper stomach, well the baby didn't like that and kicked back!  Sibling rivalry has started already!
